I think this song grabbed me faster than any other song of the new series. I love love love the phrasing of the verses, and the harmony on the chorus instantly made me think of throwing muses for some reason. I absolutely love this song. Any other nightowls listening to this a few times tonight care to chime in?

Downloaded before I left for work, but not had chance to give it a listen.

I did, It really grabbed my attention as well. The harmonies especially.

i like it. as with most of the other songs in the new series, i can't quite figure out what the lyrics are about, but the music is catchy. i also noticed it continues her recent trend of putting the vocals at the start of the song and then ending with an extended instrumental part, though not as long as the ending on 'Crooked'.

Love this one! The guitar parts throughout, the verses and chorus, and especially the coda... I've had this song on repeat play since downloading it last night. It's already made it into my top 50 playlist in just one day!

About the lyrics... I've never really ever cared about what the songs are "about", because I think the songs give themselves to you and you take what you need from them. They end up with their own personal meaning. As far as I'm concerned, the songs mean something entirely different to me than they do to anyone else or even Kristin, and that's cool.

But what I've been noticing with these newest CASH songs is that I'm not paying attention to the words as words at all. The vocals are serving as an instrument, I'm hearing the sounds, but not the meanings of the words. I'm really enjoying that, actually.

Well said tine. Damn wish i never looked up the meaning of hazing. And loving the folksy roots meets urban feel of opiates.

Tine, agree with you totally; I listen to the words as another layer of the songs. I don't try to interpret them, I'm usually totally wrong if I do!
Kristin's voice is an excellent instrument interesting, varied and certainly not bland like too many 'main stream' female singers are.
