Hi, I found this song on Youtube and I hate the empty feeling I have when I don't have a Throwing Muses song in my playlist. Does anyone have the mp3?

Scott, it is on WiP 1, I also have it on the WiP sampler, not sure where that came from??

Oh. Duh, forgive me for being dense. You mean it IS part of WIP. I took for granted that the acoustic or demo version was on WIP and that this was a full-band version that didn't make it on an album. But it's both.

Guess I'd better dig up my WIP files and freshen up on their contents. It's been a very long time since I listened to them, but I knew this sounded familiar.

as i told carla in an email i downloaded it elsewhere (soulseek would be my guest) (and not from the store THO now that i do have money and have a new debit card on the way, i will be buying it. also to see if the track at the store has the same clip part my mp3 did (somebody could tell me ahead of time if they've got it from there. i have wip 1 & 3 and except for this track i notice no problems (which isn't major but just wondering).

OMG, yes please! I would LOVE to have this track too. I heard rumors of it and nearly did a squee dance like a little kid year old hopped on a five pound sack of sugar with action spoon. I love me some Captain, and I love me some Kristin, and you stick them together and I get all ridiculous with glee. Best part ever, I was at Kristin's DIA (6/6/08) show with my sister, actually talking to Billy, when this song came on and I almost blinked out in a wave of bliss. The hair stood up on the back of my head and I almost screamed. It was a weekend made of pure magic since the next day I reunited with my best friend and soul mate and now we write plays together and plan to get married. I might not have had the guts to contact him if not for the absolutely amazing time I had the night before, and this song is all tied up with that. Once you find out the circumstances, then you can go out...

I'm a big fan of Captain Beefheart, too, but i must say that the Muses' version dramatically eclipses that of the good Cap'n. I've said this before on the various message boards you might expect me too, so my opinion might be getting pretty stale by now, but really: the Muses made that song truly rock! My point being that the track should be made more readily available. And also, I suppose, that K might try lending her touch to other CB songs. "E-lec-tri-ci-ty?" "Veteran's Day Poppy?" I dunno--if I was in her position I wouldn't necessarily take suggestions from anyone about what songs to cover.
