No, I didn't manage to make the Edinburgh PU shows.
But...I'm still sure it is a short story between tracks on one of her solo live albums. It is annoying me now, I won't sleep tonight if I can't track it down...watch this space.
Isn't there a live recording when she talks about the crash; sorry I'll have to do some research, but seem to remember her talking about feet talking in the wrong direction.

Yes, even as a Mancunian, I'd have to admit that London is the best bet for a UK visit.
One recommendation is to get yourself an Oyster Card when you arrive - it covers all Transport for London travel, so easy and avoids the need for you to queue...
